Exterior

initial construction late fourth or early fifth century
exterior from above window arches to roof, dome, and interior under Bishop Neon (c. 451-c. 473)
exterior below window arches probably restored under Archbishop Theodore (677-691)
Campanile (bell tower) 10th c.
Cathedral on the site of the Basilica Ursiana: Giovanni Francesco Buonamici 1734-45
